Synthesis book of the costume designer Thanara Schönardie’s exhibition on the work in Meu Pedacinho de Chão, at Silvia Cintra + Box 4 gallery, in Rio de Janeiro. The catalog features sketches, background studies, costume fitting and details of plastic embroidery, acetate bee houses, shoes covered with jellybeans and lozenges, and a text by director Luiz Fernando Carvalho about the costume designer: “Everything transmutes into your world built upon visualities densely concocted by emotional collages that her hardworking hands perform.”

It brings together two booklets. The first one brings images that reveal the creative process of the director Luiz Fernando Carvalho and his crew, with reproduction of drawings of the director’s notebooks, sketches of the costume designer Thanara Schönardie, scenography models, and even the shooting of the scenes. And the other, a text booklet, introduces the conceptualization of the soap opera by the director, the work of the author Benedito Ruy Barbosa, the preparation and accounts of the actors, the sophisticated work of the animators and the aesthetic conception masterfully executed by scenography, art direction, costume, and character makeup.
