Quadrant Project
The catalogue presents the Quadrant Project, idealized by director Luiz Fernando Carvalho and inaugurated along with the A Pedra do Reino. The multiplatform project is intended to rediscover the Brazilian imaginary, travelling across the country by means of texts from the Literature of different regions of the country, where they would be filmed. The main goals of this proposal are education and qualification of the viewer and the discovery and valuation of regional talents, as most of the cast and technical staff were invited from the own shooting site – exactly as A Pedra do Reino was performed. Other works that integrate the project are Dom Casmurro, by Machado de Assis, which originated the miniseries Capitu (2008); Corpo Presente, by João Paulo Cuenca, and Dois Irmãos, by Milton Hatoum, aired in 2017.
